St. Mary’s County Fields 

 

Lancaster Park - Lexington Park, MD 

St Marys, 

From I-95/495: Exit MD Route 4 (Pennsylvania Ave) South and proceed approximately 1 hour on MD Route 4 South. After you cross the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge, proceed approximately 2.4 miles to the intersection of MD Route 4 and MD Route 235. Turn left on Route 235 South and proceed (approximately 4 miles) to Great Mills Road (MD 246) Across from Gate 2 at NAS Patuxent River. Right Turn on Great Mills Road. Proceed to 1st stop light and make left turn on Willows Road. Bear left at fork in road. Field entrance is on the left in approximately 200yds. 

 

 

From Annapolis: Take MD Route 2 South to MD Route 4 South. After you cross the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge, proceed approximately 2.4 miles to the intersection of MD Route 4 and MD Route 235. From Waldorf: Take MD Route 5 South and proceed as MD Route 5 turns into MD Route 235. Proceed South on MD Route 235 and proceed to Great Mills Road (MD 246) Across from Gate 2 at NAS Patuxent River. Right Turn on Great Mills Road. Proceed to 1st stop light and make left turn on Willows Road. Bear left at fork in road. St. Mary’s College – St. Mary’s City, MD

From Annapolis: Take route 2 south to route 4. Head south on 4 towards Solomons Island. Stay on 4 (S) over the tall bridge into St. Mary’s County, until you get to 235. This is a major intersection with a traffic light. Turn left onto 235.  You take 235 into Lexington Park and turn right onto Shangri-La. This is a very short road that will take you trough a traffic light. As soon as you are through the traffic light that crosses Great Mills Rd get into the left hand lane. This will turn into Willows Rd. as you pass a church on your right. Take Willows Rd. to the end and turn left onto Route 5 (S). When you get to the College you will go over a little bridge and the St. Mary’s River will be on your right. You will drive past a driveway on your left before coming to Fisher Rd. Turn onto Fisher Rd and go up the little hill. Schaefer Hall is on the left at the top of the hill after the road has turned left. You can park in front of the building.

 

 

 

 

 

 

From Washington, D.C. Follow the Beltway to the southern side of Washington to the Branch Avenue exit (Route 5). Take Route 5 south. Route 301 joins Route 5 coming into Waldorf. Watch for a major intersection showing Route 5 turning south where Route 301 continues straight. Turn left onto Route 5 south. About 20 miles south of Waldorf, Route 5 branches to the right as a two-lane road to Leonardtown, and the main four-lane road continues straight and becomes Route 235. Bear right and follow Route 5 south all the way to the college (about 40 minutes driving time). Once on campus, turn left onto Fisher Road. Schaefer Hall is on the left at the top of the hill on Fisher Road. You can park in front of the building.

 

 

 

 

 

 

From Baltimore: Get onto route 97 (South).
Follow to Route 3 South. (Signs may indicate 3 and/or 301).
Continue south on Route 3 which becomes Route 301 below Route 50.
At Upper Marlboro, exit off 301 onto Route 4 south. Follow Route 4 through Calvert County to Solomons. Cross the tall bridge over the Patuxent River.
Go four miles to the intersection of Route 4 and Route 235.
Continue straight through the light on Route 4. Follow Route 4 to its intersection with Route 5 (about 6 miles). Turn left onto Route 5 south and follow it all the way to the college (about 15 minutes driving time). Once on campus, turn left onto Fisher Road. Schaefer Hall is on the left at the top of the hill on Fisher Road. You can parkin front of the building.

 

 

 

From Verginia: Pick up 95 (N) and take it through Richmond to exit 104 (over 20 miles north of Richmond). Take Virginia 207 (E/N) to Bowling Green where you will get on 301 (N). Take 301 to Maryland 234. Take 234 towards Leonardtown. Turn onto Route 5 (S) and take 5 to the College. Once on campus, turn left onto Fisher Road. Schaefer Hall is on the left at the top of the hill on Fisher Road. You can park in front of the building.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chaptico Park – Chaptico, MD

Follow Route 301 South through Waldorf and through LaPlata. Turn left at Route 234 (Budds Creek Road) in Newburg. Travel 9.6 miles on Budds Creek Road to Chaptico Park on left.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Calvert County Fields

From the I-495 Beltway take Exit 11A (Upper Marlboro/MD-4 south). Stay on MD-4 south through Prince Frederick and past MD-231. Stay on Rt. 4 south approximately 20 minutes, and turn left on HG Trueman Rd. Go about 1 mile and the field is on the left.

 

 

 

 

 

 

If coming from Solomons, take route 4 north to HG Trueman. Field is on the left.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hallowing Point Park - Prince Frederick, MD

From the I-495 Beltway take Exit 11A (Upper Marlboro/MD-4 south). Stay on MD-4 south through the Prince Frederick town center to MD-231. Turn right onto MD-231 west. This is not well marked! (At this intersection there is a car dealer on the right and a 7-11 on the left.) Stay on MD-231 west approximately four miles. Entrance to the park is on the right. Take Beltway I-495 Exit 11A (MD Rte 4 South) toward Upper Marlboro. Travel approximately 15 miles on MD 4 south to MD 260. Take exit ramp to the right onto MD 260 (Chesapeake Beach/North Beach exit). Entrance to Twin Shields is 0.6 miles on the left. Turn left through Twin Shields gate. DO NOT make the first left inside the gate (this road takes you to the golf course). Instead, stay on the main road to the third driveway on the right (look for the brown farm gate). Turn right into the soccer field parking lot.
